Bodilab AI (the "App", operated by its founder, Ayumu Kitabayashi) respects your privacy and manages your personal information and photos in accordance with this policy.
This app does not perform facial recognition or identification. It is an app that estimates body composition (body fat, muscle, etc.) from body photos. It does not extract facial features (facial landmarks, etc.), identify you by your face, or perform face authentication. A face may incidentally appear in a photo (for example, in a mirror selfie), but we do not detect, analyze, or match that face, and we do not collect face data.
Progress photos are, as a rule, stored only on your device. Only at the moment of scoring (estimating body composition) is the image transmitted to our AI processing provider (currently OpenAI's API) for the sole purpose of generating the estimate. The image is used only to generate the estimate, is not used to identify you, is not stored or retained on our servers, not used to train AI models, and not sold or shared with third parties. Photos (including any incidental face) are retained only on your device and can be deleted at any time via the in-app reset or by uninstalling the app.
Only if you grant permission, the app reads your weight, height, body-fat %, lean mass, BMI, waist, plus steps, sleep, and resting heart rate from Apple Health, read-only — the app never writes to Apple Health. This data, as a rule, stays on your device. For coaching analysis, only weekly-average summaries of activity data (steps, sleep, resting heart rate) may be sent to our AI processing provider. We never use Apple Health data for advertising, and never sell or share it. You can revoke access at any time in the Settings app.
The app uses external providers (such as AI processing services) to estimate body composition. Data is sent to these providers only to the extent necessary to perform the estimate. Except as required by law, we do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties.
Your data (photos, records, settings) is stored primarily on your device. You can delete it by using the in-app reset or by deleting (uninstalling) the app.
The body fat, muscle, score, and other figures the app provides are AI estimates, not medical diagnoses. For health decisions, please consult a professional such as a physician.
This app is not intended for people who have not reached an appropriate age.
We may revise this policy as needed. If there are material changes, we will note them on this page.
