Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the service provided by Bodilab AI (the "App", operated by its founder, Ayumu Kitabayashi). By using the App, you (the "User") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. The service

The App is a fitness-support service in which AI estimates body composition and development from body photos you take or select, and provides a score, reports, a coach, and a record of your changes. The body fat, muscle, score, and other figures provided are AI estimates, not measured values or medical diagnoses.

2. Health & medical disclaimer

• The App is intended for fitness tracking and motivation, not for medical purposes, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Body-composition figures and advice are estimates. We do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness, or any specific outcome (weight loss, muscle gain, changes in physique, etc.).
• When exercising, dieting, or losing weight, consult a professional such as a physician as needed. Take particular care if you have any pre-existing conditions. The operator is not responsible for outcomes arising from your use of the App.

3. Accounts & eligibility

• You may use the App if you have reached an appropriate age. Minors should use it with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• You are responsible for managing your own device and account.

4. Bodilab AI Pro (paid subscription)

Some features of the App (the AI coach, weekly training plans, detailed body-composition reports and action plans, the 12-part muscle map and weak-point analysis, future-self prediction, and more) are available with the paid "Bodilab AI Pro" plan. Billing and cancellation are handled through Apple's App Store, and the following conditions apply.

• Price & period: the price and billing period (e.g. monthly) are shown in the app and on the App Store purchase screen.
• Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: the subscription automatically renews and charges the same amount unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: you can turn off renewal (cancel) at any time after purchase via your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Do so at least 24 hours before the next renewal date.
• Free trial: if a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a paid subscription.
• Refunds: purchases and refunds are governed by Apple's terms. The operator does not handle individual refunds.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Uses that infringe others' rights, such as scoring another person's photo without that person's consent.
• Copying, modifying, or reverse-engineering the App, or unauthorized access or interference.
• Any use that violates laws or public order and morals.

6. Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights in the App and its content (including design, logos, text, and generated output) belong to the operator or the rightful owners. Rights in the photos you take belong to you.

7. Changes, suspension & termination

The operator may change, add to, suspend, or terminate the App without prior notice to you. The operator is not responsible for any damage this causes you.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is." The operator does not warrant the App's accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising in connection with your use of the App.

9. Changes to these Terms

The operator may revise these Terms as needed. If there are material changes, we will note them on this page. If you continue to use the App after a revision, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute concerning the App, the court with jurisdiction over the operator's location shall be the exclusive court of first instance by agreement.
